How many points for a stay

I’m a gold member (via Amex plat)

Stayed 6 nights last week in W Bangkok , prepaid for rate (no bonus points offer) cost for total stay in Gbp £1140 (no CC fee), received just a couple under 35k points (including elite bonus and 500 welcome points) I don’t stay often in Marriott hotels , seems a lot of points , is it correct as it’s enough points for 1 night in Bangkok as a redemption

Definitely generous! Golds should earn 12.5points/usd (pre tax). Did you have an ‘exclusively for you’ offer for double points?

Hi thanks for replying – nope no offer enrolled and when I booked there wasn’t any bonus points packaged. Just prepaid for the rate

Must of got lucky then , staying in Philippines next week , hope I’m lucky again 🙂
