How often do Amex do an increased sign up bonus for getting Platinum?

Hi,
Does anyone know historically how often Amex have done a promotion with the increased sign up bonus for The Platinum car? For example there was recently a 60,000 sign up bonus, how long before that was the previous promotion and how big was ? Has there ever been a 100k sign up bonus?
I’m curious to know because I don’t know whether to hold off and wait for a better sign up than 30k points or just get it now.

I don’t know the direct answer to your question, but one thing to bear in mind is that if you apply this month you will get this year’s £150 UK + £150 foreign dining credits if you can use them this year plus £50 Harvey Nichols and then you would get the same again on 1 Jan.

That’s a good point. I would probably be able to make use of all of those before the new year.
