i want to sign up to Amex Gold (non-biz) which, per the HfP guide, seems like the best bet for me.
I can get a boosted intro bonus to 30k instead of 20k via using a referral link.
Is there much advantage in waiting to see if Amex do a time-limited offer of say 40k or 50k points for new members in the next month or two?
I’ve just read, on the Barclaycard forum, an HfP staff member saying Barclaycard don’t seem to have any boosts planned, so 25k is the max on their side for now at least.
I can’t find a page on this site which sets out what intro bonuses have been (and short term offers of points boosts) over the past 2-3 years, which seems strange – is it my poor searching?
Thanks 🙂
I think 30k is pretty good. The best referral offer I had was 34k points, when the standard bonus was increased to 30k. Its never been 40k.
There was a recent boost that ended in January, and it was split into two parts, can’t remember how much the first part was (25k i think), but there was an extra 5k for spending any amount in the 15th month of membership.
