Forums Frequent flyer programs Virgin Flying Club How to get from Heathrow Long Stay to Virgin UC check in?

  • 5 posts

    Hello,

We are flying from Heathrow T3 soon and will be parking our car at the T3 Long stay car park. I’m bringing my mum on this trip and she would like to try out the Virgin UC entrance to T3. I’m not sure how to get there from the Long Stay car park though – have any of you been in a similar position?

We thought about ordering a taxi to collect us from the car park but are not sure if this is possible because of the automatic barriers at the entrance.

    Thanks in advance!

Long stay is free for 30 mins so you could order an Uber and they wouldn’t get charged for coming in

Having Uber’d a few times to the Wing, you will likely have to be pretty specific with the driver – if they miss the signage on approach to T3, you have to do a full loop, which is a pain.

Google maps has the Upper Class wing as a location & will guide the Uber Driver to the correct turn off for the access road. Uber has it as a destination as well but not sure if the in App navigation will guide driver correctly. Just make sure you tell driver to not just take you to usual T3 drop off area. It’s also worth writing your name & flight number on a scrap of paper as the driver will have to give them via an intercom to get barrier raised & I’ve found trying to play Chinese whispers or just shout from back never works that well.

Indeed, but I find that they fly straight past it – and that’s where the problem arrives.
