Hello! Forgive me if someone has covered this already (or maybe planning to shortly), however I wanted to know if anyone has experience of how to transition to IB+ (or another OW) when they currently have status with BA?
I understand that at the time of walking onto the aircraft I need a boarding card with the IB+ number on – but how can I avail of the BA status benefits until that point? Ie baggage allowance, seat selection, lounge access and fast track security?
Is it possible to have the BAEC number switched to the IB number at the gate or perhaps in the lounge? (I’d be happy to forgo the priority boarding groups until I regained status with IB).
I’m certain a few people are considering a similar switch as I am and so any help would be really appreciated and sorry if someone has detailed this – if so please could someone let me know the link or where to find it? Thanks so much!
