I have around 7700 miles with American Airlines which will expire later this year. I’ve got no flights planned with them so am unlikely to earn any more miles but it’s too few to redeem on any flights.
Any ideas on what I could use them on? Can I transfer to another scheme?
Not possibe to transfer but look for their shop and spend on things like magazine subscriptions or charity donation.
If you can join e-rewards and complete a few surveys you can transfer to AA and keep them alive.

That’s what I just did. Only advice is to start a few weeks before expiry, it takes a while to actually get a survey to complete (you are asked every day to complete your profile, to help identify a survey you’d be selected for), but once the survey is completed it took just a few days to get the AA miles credited (250 AA miles bonus for the first survey and 50 AA miles for the actual survey).
Alternatively you can transfer Bonvoy points to AA and top up if you see any value in a partner redemption (Avios are generally better value, but if you have a connection all of a sudden AA miles may be of use).
