Iberia booking using 2-4-1 Avios discrepancy!

Just looking at booking flights to Mex starting in MAD and returning to LHR via MAD both ways off peak.

The outbound is pricing up as 62,500 + £305 and the inbound is 55,250 + £305

Why?

Try and do it separately. I booked MAD-MEX at 42.5k for next month and £127 taxes. Book that with 241. Then book MEX-MAD-LHR and pay full avios and call BA or tweet them to give 50% back when using the other half of 241 voucher.

The outbound is peak direct, the return is off peak to MAD and then LHR ?

No idea why the taxes are so high – those aren’t pulling RFS correctly
