Inbound F reward availability seems nonexistent through to next year? Is a Seat Spy alert still considered the best option to nab them as and when (if) they are released?
Where from – F isn’t guaranteed so there are destinations where you’re not going to see it?
SeatSpy is the best bet but it’s not been 100% reliable for a while due to issues with BA’s own system.
Initially looking at East Coast USA but really just a general point. I appreciate there is no guarantee of F seats being released and it’s a small cabin etc, just surprised that – from the BA search tool at least – there appears to be nothing across the entire network (inbound to LHR) well into 2024. I imagine the issue is very little or almost nothing being released rather than people with seat spy alerts snapping them up?
The search function has not worked for months,

Apparently the fix is to reverse the search.
Yet another day of BA hopeless IT.
There are issues with the BA search tool, it’s not been showing correctly for a while and has been discussed here quite a bit.
Try a dummy booking on your specific return dates. SeatSpy is showing plenty of availability from NYC, for example, throughout 2024.
As previously mentioned though, it’s not 100% reliable either so you’ll only know for sure by doing a dummy booking for a specific date.
