I’m a gold member paid cash on the BA website for the following route in economy.Booking was made and ticketed on the 10 Oct

    LHR-DOH-BKK/BKK-HKG/HKG-LHR

Flights were QR (BA flight numbers but op by QR ) CX and then BA

MMB advised I would get 18,045for the trip , all flights have posted (including CX which took 3 days) tier points are correct but I’m approx 5000 short .

Raised case with BA included screen shot of MMB showing amount due , they’re saying points posted are correct . Gone back still same response

What’s next steps to get the missing points added

Could it be because of the change to revenue-based avios earning (on the BA leg, not sure about the others)?

@simonjones – the prospective Avios figure shown in MMB is often wrong. You need to look at the individual sectors / booking classes in the Avios/TP calculator and see if there is still a discrepancy and if there is, which sector(s) is/are wrong.

Although you booked on 10 October prior to the move to revenue based Avios earning, if you changed your booking after 18 October it may be based on the new system.

Hi JDB, no changes to the ticket , checked the tool online this morning it doesn’t correspond to what I should have got or what I actually earned for all flights minus the CX one which is correct .

So I have no fight for cause from what was shown on MMB ?

I don’t think you have any prospect for claiming on the basis on what MMB said, but if the Avios awarded for an individual flight and the relevant fare bucket are wrong, BA should correct that.
