I’ve noticed for a while that prices for reward flights marked as off-peak often don’t correspond. I’m wondering if these dates are in fact not off-peak but are incorrectly marked as such on the site?. An example: next week to BUD is half term in the UK but all days are marked as off-peak in the booking engine, yet they’re at peak prices. I looked at the HFP peak/off-peak calendar and it suggests that UK October half term is in fact peak, but BA’s site isn’t reflecting this. I’ve tried using Firefox, Edge and Safari and always get the same result.
I’m only seeing Tuesday next week marked as off-peak on BA.com, which is normal for a school holiday period.
That doesn’t correspond with what I’m being shown. BA IT really is a mess. I agree one would normally expect school holidays to be peak.
I STILL can’t book reward seats online after 9 months, I just get a ‘sorry, please try again later’ message when trying to proceed to the payment stage, irrespective of the browser, if I clear cookies, etc. I raised a complaint with BA earlier in the year about this and didn’t hear a word back. There’s clearly something broken with my account, also alluded to by being shown incorrect information about peak and off peak dates. I’m sick of having to phone to make bookings which takes 30 minutes and having to state my case each time in order to have the phone booking fee waived.
