I’m currently Diamond Ambassador. Wasn’t going to renew Ambassador. However I now, unusually, have a Fri/Sat night stay coming up. If I renew Ambassador does free night appear immediately?
Also, is Ambassador rate always available at an Intercontinental? And what premium is normally paid over the cheapest bookable rate?
I don’t know whether it is immediate, although I suspect it is. However, you can check the Ambassador rate fo your upcoming stay, and even make a flexible Ambassador booking, before you actually join Ambasador. I’ll look for the link I use, to save the bother of logging in first, and post it next. Not sure if it came from HfP or just a general search. The Ambassador rate is based on the best flexible rate, but usually a little higher.
Excellent, thanks Lyn. Almost exactly washes its face. So get Ambassador membership effectively for free off one stay with all the benefits that brings. Total no-brainer !!
The Ambassador rate is based on the best flexible rate, but usually a little higher.
It’s the best flexible rate. The reason it’s a little higher is that the 5% IHG member discount is not applied to the rate.
