Now that the ICC cards have closed to the general public and are only available to those with a private banking arrangement, where is this card headed?
Will it become a “legacy” card that remains stagnant until eventually being scrapped altogether? Will they begin implementing positive changes to better appeal to the (assumedly) higher net worth individuals using private banking?
I was surprised it was sold all these days. Must’ve been a nightmare filing all documentation when your customers are located in various jurisdictions that may not be allowing such cross border services or might have severe restrictions. Obviously little compliance would’ve been required for residents from UK, but that must’ve been a small population.
+1 … must have been murder complying with KYC and so on. I can’t see it coming back. It if it does, it will be headquartered in Switzerland or the Bahamas or something.
I remain optimistic that we’ll eventually see an Amex that’s useful abroad and available to UK consumers and/or businesses.
Can anyone please tell me how I transfer points over from my Plat to the ICC? Can it be done online?

No online option. Call up and a form will be emailed to you; and this is a once-a-year opportunity IIRC.
