Is there any benefit booking LATAM via BA over Virgin?

I am going to book a flight from GRU to IGU. Both available to book with Virgin points or Avios on LAMTAM. Is there any benefit booking with one over the other? The cost difference is negligible and I am flying LHR to GRU with Virgin if that makes a difference.

IIRC,there was an article a few months ago comparing LATAM, Iberia, BA and Virgin booking options.
