ITA status match / SkyTeam benefits with Saudia

I got an email today confirming my status match from Qatar Silver to ITA was successful – they have given me Volare Club Plus which gives me the below benefits on ITA:

Club Smart benefits;
Additional luggage allowance;
Priority luggage delivery;
Priority boarding;
Priority check-in and transfer desk;
The “seat selection” service is free of charge in the aircraft’s area reserved for your Club.
Dedicated customer service.

I’m flying on Saudia end of November and am struggling to find out how to apply & use my Skyteam Elite status on Saudia.

1. I believe this also gives me Skyteam Elite status, right?
2. Do I need to add my ITA number to my Saudia booking?
3. Anyone know where I can actually see what benefits I will get on Saudia? This page doesn’t give much info.
4. If Lufthansa acquires ITA before my flight, will I lose my Skyteam status?

1. Correct. It is SkyTeam Elite only, not Elite Plus.
2. You can add your number on the Saudia website. There is a dropdown menu to choose your programme and ITA is included.
3. https://www.loyaltyprogram.ita-airways.com/en_gb/accrual/saudia.html details the earnings. Usual SkyTeam elite benefits apply as noted in your post.
4. No idea, but I’d be surprised if anything changes before November.

Re 2. – I tried adding my ITA number on the Saudia website in my booking but it doesn’t actually recognise it:

“Please enter a valid frequent flyer number.”

My ITA number is 8 numbers. It looks like the Saudia site expects 10 characters. I tried adding two 0’s before it but no luck 🙁
