Forums Other Airport lounges Jumeirah arrivals lounge, Dubai (DXB)

Can’t get a sensible answer from the clueless concierge crew.

I arrive at 0930 with Virgin in Terminal 3. The Jumeirah lounge is in Terminal 1, and looks like a sensible place to freshen up, shower, change and have a coffee and snack. Our room is unlikely to be ready at that time of day.

Is it possible and practical to access the Jumeirah lounge from T3? If so, I’ll book the overpriced hotel transfer so I can get a civilised start to the day.

Thanks for spotting my stupid typo, BWS. I meant to say that I land on T1 but the lounge is in T3.

Is it easy to move between terminals in the de-restricted zone?

No it’s a completely different terminal ie like T3 and T5 have to transfer between the two airside via cab,bus or metro c10 mins.

If you arrive at 9:30 then by the time you get your bags and get to hotel it’s probably 11 having arrived in Dubai at 7:30am I have >80% hit rate of getting a room straight away and the rest of the time within a couple hours. I think you’d probably get yours.

Or try booking a Hilton day room. My go-to is the Conrad.

Very much my experience too. Even if your room wasn’t ready, I’d be surprised if most hotels couldn’t accommodate a ‘place to freshen up, shower, change and have a coffee and snack’.

Thanks for the advice. I’ll head for the hotel, hope for an early check-in and beg the use of a shower if that fails.

I tried searching for one and the cheapest I can find is £166. That doesnt look right? I thought day rooms were supposed to be cheaper
