Just signed up for the Plat – how long wait for card, Priority Pass?

I have signed up for the Plat (held it for ages until May 2020)

I have been approved -but how long to wait for the physical card and the PP cards?

Any way I can speed it up by ringing Amex and using the apps?

I will be in LHR T3 later this week – any tips most welcome!

Your Platinum card will arrive within 1-2 days from my experience with Amex cards. The PP cards will come a bit later on, so probably next week at this point.

You can apparently ask Amex CS or PP CS and they’ll tell your details to get into lounges. I just waited for mine to arrive but you don’t need the physical card, you can use the digital card from the app or the membership number (apparently).

My PlatAmex arrived in the post and I called Amex three days later about the PP card. They told me to wait but gave me the membership number and I was able to download the app and log in straight away to access the digital card which can be used to access lounges.

Amex CS recently told me I would only get a card if I called PP and asked for one, and that my partner (via her supp card) wouldn’t get one at all. Nonsense, I assumed, but it’s been a month since I got the Plat so I was beginning to wonder if this was true – then about ten minutes before I was going to call PP (need access for Friday so was going digital) my partner’s card dropped through the letterbox today. Called about mine and it should have arrived ages ago, so I got the code for the app.

If you’re in a rush for the PP, ring them as soon as you receive the Plat. You get a lovely South African on the phone too.

For the PP you can use the app instead as others have mentioned.

It has been over a month since my Platinum card arrived but no sign of PP card. I was able to get PP account number using Amex chat and then login details by calling PP.

But for supp card holder Amex chat said card holder would need to call PP to get all the details. Why can’t they just send the cards in a timely manner.

My own experience just last week was PP arrived within 3 days of the card itself.
