I booked AMS > SJO with KLM using 155,000 VFC points todsy. I tried to book it including a connecting flight to/from Cardiff, but even though I spoke to VFC on the phone they said for some reason they couldn’t do the connecting flights on the same ticket. But they did say they could do it as a separate ticket, costing 4000 points plus tax each way. Are connecting KLM flights to/from AMS usually included for free with the main flight when using VFC?
When I was checking out the MAN-AMS-LAS route it included in essence a free MAN-AMS flight, however the taxes were a lot higher as I would be departing from the UK. So having separate tickets could have saved you a lot of tax. But its your problem if the connecting flight gets delayed into AMS.
