Please could you share your experience about cancelling SQ award tickets? How long for miles to be redeposited in your account after paying redeposit fee online?

If you want to book another SQ metal award you can try calling in and asking them to expedite your mile return and to put that award on hold in the meantime
Pre covid this would be no problem but recently my call centre experiences have been dire so you may need to HUACA a few times to achieve this
If you are calling, call during Singapore working hours, you may get transferred to the local team instead of an offshore call centre.
My experience is that if you’re booking a new flight, they can just swap the flight right there and then and then the revenue office calls you a day later to take the payment for cancellation fee and extra fee. However this is only for like for like swap. No experience if you want to book something different.
