On the basis that Liverpool Street and St Pancras are also closed, whilst Euston is set to be a next level hell with diverted trains from Paddington running there, I suspect that the smart money is on simply not bothering with train travel to the capital for that 10 day period.
whilst Euston is set to be a next level hell with diverted trains from Paddington

There will not be free travel on New Year’s Eve. Note due to the fire works there will be bus diversions and tube station closures as well as road closures in the central area.
Gatwick
No trains on Christmas Day.
On Boxing there will be two limited stop service Southern trains an hour to/from Victoria (with one train an hour extended to operating to/from Brighton)
National Express will run from Victoria Coach Station to Gatwick on Christmas Day. This is a direct service.
On Boxing Day they run via LHR so taking over 2 1/2 hours.
