Discuss today's stories:
Any tips on best cafe /bar etc – VA state you can pre-pay £ 38 for ‘Lounge 1’ access which is a possible option, but any other tips appreciated – this is for a family member flying next week with VA and Silver VA – So any advice appreciated Thanks !
Amex lounge is possible.
Flying to US, you are likely to be around peak time – at quieter times, you can ask (nicely!) and the clubhouse might be payable for £75 fee.
Otherwise, I’d go to the seafood/champagne bar after duty free…can’t remember the name but you can’t miss it
I’ve always found the Amex lounge really busy and with a wait time. If you can pay for Clubhouse this would be my go to route, otherwise just go and camp in a restaurant somewhere.
In 2023 they offered a one time Clubhouse voucher for Silver status match people – wondering if this applies to 2025 status matches -That would be great but doubt its available as so many people are doing the match with VA and others from BA !
VA do not allow you to pay even in low traffic at Club House Flight was awful in PE – lights on all the way during day flight to West Coast – Complaints to VA on their way
ps Food inedible – Bassinets all blocked even to Gold at online and in person checkin and then strangely all 8 went in minutes…mmmm – oh dear and they want 350 k for points for some UC flights to USA ..I dont think so — recalibration needed in their dynamic pricing !
