A friend has recommended an hotel in the above mentioned town (not sure I have spelt it correctly) and I have been digging about looking into it, it seems like it is a Best Western hotel, my knowledge of chain hotels is very, limited, but is this something I could use hotel points for, I have MR points I could transfer over to hotel schemes, or is it just better to book direct with the hotel on their web-site ?
BW isn’t an Amex points transfer partner (at least not in the UK). They do decent and quick status matches so if you have status with any other chains and are going to stay with them then it is worth a try for extra perks https://www.statusmatcher.com/company/best-western . I was Diamond with them for years after a status match, although that seems to have dropped back to the basic level this year so your message has prompted my to try again.
The hotel (and Corsica generally) looks a really intriguing destination – if you go hope you have a great trip @Misty !
