Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Loganair Glasgow to Southampton

I have just booked a flight from Glasgow to Southampton via the BA site.
I have now realised that I do not get BA lounge access on the way out (only being Silver, and there being no Business offering), and the lounge at Southampton is closed during winter!
Any advice on what to do around Southampton Airport to be able to work for an hour or so before flying?
I will use the Upper Deck lounge in Glasgow via my Dragon Pass

Past security at SOU is a bland seating area.

Prior to security is a Costa and that’s about it… It really isn’t a place to hang about and security will be maybe 10mins tops..

Thanks, I wish I had asked this question before booking and I would not have book the last flight…

I have received the e-ticket but the flight is not showing up in my “my bookings” area of the BA app or website. Is this usual because it is a partner airline, or is it just buggy BA IT again?

There is a Costa Coffee and a restauranty bar thing upstairs once you’re past security. I thought the restauranty bar thing was okay when we were there in the summer and work should be feasible. Opening hours are a bit random but are on the airport’s website. The staff were genuinely friendly.

There are many worse airports to hang around than Southampton.

There’s a premier inn just across from the airport terminal, too. So that will have a bar/coffee etc.

The premiere in was packed when we stayed there a few weeks ago so you might not find a seat. The Olive tree bar was pretty quiet and with decent WiFi and sockets when I had to spend a few hours delay there earlier this year. Pizza was quite nice too 🙂
