My daughter (BA silver) is travelling on a 241 voucher (in club) to Bengaluru then has an onward flight to Sri Lanka but will need to collect bags and re-check in at the airport for the 2nd flight. The Sri Lanka leg is in economy on another carrier. Would she be let into the BA lounge in Bengaluru as a silver member having just arrived in club class from LHR? And is the lounge any good?
No to the access.
If she’s going on Sri Lankan then she may get access under the oneworld connection rule – a long haul biz flight will get you access on a short haul connection. However the oneworld lounge finder doesn’t show Sri Lankan having any access at Bengaluru and I wouldn’t fancy my chances getting into this at a non hub airport !
A possible solution is that you could make her a supplementary cardholder assuming you have a Gold or Platinum Amex, and she’d get instant access to a Priority Pass lounge – just ask their live chat for the PP card details.
Or just pay for access at the lounge. I don’t believe it’s a BA branded lounge.

Sorry just read she’s silver. So she must not be flying oneworld onwards! Doh!
I’ve been in a few Indian lounges and they’re rarely worth it unless you’re getting in free via some access method you already have
