Forums Payment cards American Express Lufthansa airport lounge access with Amex Platinum

So the Amex website says to access the Lufthansa lounge you need a platinum card and a Lufthansa Group same day boarding pass. Can anyone clarify what Lufthansa Group equates to? Would that include other star alliance airlines like Swiss or am I misunderstanding?

I believe Swiss is owned by Lufthansa so I’d say yes.

You could try showing the lounge agents this website where it lists Swiss under Lufthansa Group:

Easiest thing I find to do is search for the lounge on the Amex site as that has the entry criteria. https://global.americanexpress.com/lounge-access/the-platinum-card?locale=en-US&extlink=va-us-CPS-LFfindalounge

I think only Lufthansa, Swiss or Austrian airlines tickets will get you in. Eurowings and Brussels aren’t mentioned.

This benefit is the main reason I keep my Platinum card as I fly back from Frankfurt a lot. They only look at my card though, doesn’t seem to be a check that is valid, I have thought about cancelling the card and chancing it but sods law if I did that they would start checking.
