Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Making a 241 booking after the “expiry” date?

    Has anyone ever done this?

So, say my BAPP voucher expires on March 30th, but I want to use it for a trip which runs from March 25th to April 10th. This should be within the Ts and Cs of the outbound leg being flown before the expiry date.

Will it still be in my BAEC account and redeemable when the outbound flight is released, i.e. April 5th, after the expiry date associated with the voucher?

Not sure if you’ve confused me or yourself. If you’re flying out shortly before the voucher expires, are you not booking the year before expiry?

I’m confused too. The first statement is 100% correct so I don’t understand the relevance of the second statement? The flight is released 355 days before the date of the flight you’re using the voucher for? If your outbound is before the expiry and inbound after, you simply add the return when it becomes available, as normal.

I think the point being that the voucher is effectively expired?

Edit: I am also confused. Surely you’re a year out so you’re fine? Do you mean when the INBOUND becomes available? Surely even then it won’t be expired?

If it’s expires 30th March 2026 why would it not be in your account on 5th April 2025?

    But that’s some remarkable planning.

I think @NorthernLass has been at the Tia Maria, because she’s normally the one with the most sensible advice! 😁 I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for the explanation!

I don’t know – I think I need to look again at what I’m actually trying to do 😂. Thanks for the input!
