Anyone with BA lounge access travelled through Manchester since they re-opened T3 ?
Apparently the old BA lounge has been closed for good, so was wondering if there was anything available in T3 itself.
Up till now, domestic flights left from an otherwise mothballed T3, but all the facilities available were in T1, and you had access to a rather uninspiring third party lounge (can’t remember which).
We were at MAN yesterday – check in/security is still at T1 but we were directed to the Escape lounge at T3 which has apparently just reopened. It’s a much nicer space than the one in T1, being upstairs opposite the very forlorn looking closed BA lounge, so lots of natural light and decent views. The fact that they were serving hot breakfast actually made it a bit better than the old BA one!
*Apparently there aren’t enough staff to reopen T3 itself so horrendous queues at T1 have been reported. Security was fine when we went through yesterday though, but people with hold baggage were saying the check in queues were awful.
