I have just received 2 e-mails from Creation, timed 3 minutes apart.
Both have the same subject: Russell, important changes to your Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card
The content is different, though.
Both start “We need to tell you that the relationship between Creation Financial Services and Marriott Bonvoy is coming to an end on 28 February 2025.”
The first one then states “On 28 February 2025 you’ll move over to the Creation Credit Card”.
I assume that the Creation Credit Card is the one that I got (but never used) when the Creation/IHG card died. The second e-mail states: “We’re giving you notice that your account will be closed on 28 February 2025, in accordance with the provisions of clause 14 of your credit agreement. You won’t be able to use your Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card after 28 February 2025.”
Both e-mails have the same info about points and status:
Points
You can continue to earn points up to and including 28 February 2025. After this time, any points will be handed over to Marriott Bonvoy®who will add them to your Marriott Bonvoy account.
If your anniversary is up to and including 28 February 2025, we’lll send your 2,000 bonus points to Marriott Bonvoy by 31 March 2025.Status
Your Marriott Bonvoy status will remain the same until 28 February 2026. Changes to your status after this date will be communicated to you directly by Marriott Bonvoy.I assume that as I already have a Creation Credit Card, the first e-mail was sent in error.
I know that there are not many holders of the card left, but still a sad day. But for the next three months, this will probably be the only card I use!
I had the IHG card which became the Creation Credit Card, and mine is closing on 31 Jan.
I know some people (who didn’t have their accounts closed by Creation) closed their Creation card once it stopped being associated with IHG. I didn’t do anything and just stopped using it.
Perhaps Creation is now leaving the UK.

You’re not the only one, I have had the same email today. Are Creation pulling out of the UK credit market entire? I really need to find a new monitor Amex card, and just don’t know what would be best right now.

Personally I feel their agreement with Marriott will come to an end in Feb 2025, so they’re giving a heads up on the next steps.
I got the email this morning and im really annoyed, im only a few nights away from Platinum and having just started my new business found out last week that i can pay my main supplier using a credit card, i was looking to rack up the points.
It seems that Marriott have gone all in with Amex but for some reason they wont give me a card not sure why because ive never been turned down before and have excellent credit rating and even if they would give me a card its hard to use an Amex.
