Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Moving BA Executive Club address overseas

  • 5 posts

    Hello,

I am looking for some advice. Uk ba gold member. Just moved to Bermuda and opened up a local Bermuda British airways credit card but can’t get the avios earned transferred to my uk BA executive club a/c as different addresses. Been advised I need to change my ba executive club account address to Bermuda. My question is have other forum members experienced any down sides of changing the executive club account to an overseas address?

Also I am aware that when I change my address, I will lose any future 2 for 1 voucher benefits and avios points of my uk Amex card as Amex won’t transfer to executive club address overseas (I had been hoping to still use it for my uk spend). Has anyone managed to get round this?

    Thank you very much.

You should still be able to use your UK Amex but any points earned will remain with Amex until you return back to the UK and change your BAEC address back to a UK one on which case thru will transfer.

Don’t think there is anyway around this. And since you can only change BAEC addresses every six months that’s not really an option either as your Bermuda points will be stuck

Can you switch back and forth once a year?

Thank you very much for responding. I hadn’t thought of the uk Amex points still accumulating.

I am guessing I could do that. Grab the avios and benefits and then switch to uk to do the same. Thank you very much.
