MR to Avios to Nectar timeframe

I’ve moved 40K MR points to Avios in order to move them to Nectar and not sure what the timeframes are currently like. The Avios to Nectar part is 10 days, is this still the case or can it be quicker?

Overall, it may take almost two weeks to move from MR to Avios to Nectar?

I don’t believe it has got quicker, and as this is deliberate as an anti-fraud measure I can’t see it speeding up until they get a new IT system in place.

Whether the delay should be 3 days, 5 days, 10 days or 14 days is a different question of course. No reason why the email they send you to confirm shouldn’t have a big warning button to click if you don’t recognise the transaction, plus a note to call ASAP, and the delay then cut to – say – 3 days.

I spoke to Nectar customer support this morning. Apparently they are experiencing delays of upto 28 days due to a technical glitch in their system. I transferred points on 11 September and still no sign of them.

That’s quite disappointing as I’m trying to have enough points to redeem for Argos to get the iPhone when it’s in stock.
