I’m still not 100% convinced this isn’t a wind-up to generate vibrant and vocal reactions.

With some success judging by the number of impassioned respondents who’ve taken the bait.

I think the NYT would have sussed if it was a wind-up, but I can also totally believe it to be true in America!

…especially the wording “PUTS me in coach” – all sounds a bit 1950s Doris Day!
