Need 10 Tier Points before Aug 8th – best ideas?

I am 10 tier points away from moving up to Silver status. My membership year runs until August 8th and I don’t have any flights booked until after this deadline. I am considering buying a fight before this deadline just to make up the 10 points needed
Has anyone been in a similar situation before and if so any advice?

You’ve not said where you are based which restricts the options we can suggest.

Also goven the reduction of the schedule prices are very high at the moment.

But basically a short haul economy flight will get you 10 points.

If in London, I have just checked a single flight, LGW to MAN is £64 HBO or £79 checked-in, Friday 15th July. I suspect the £64 flight may be worth 5TP and the £79 one 10TP. OP can then return on an train

Use Google Flight search engine. You can select two dates and filter for one world and will see all possibilities and prices on a map. I did that in the past for TP runs as I prefer a real destination to spending a day flying to Manchester and back. In my case Prague was a cheap option for a weekend fight plus the city is cheap for both hotels and food which makes it a perfect spot. (You can do quick jumps to Paris or Brussels and back too for instance)
