There are now new economy options on new website. Looking at Bordeaux:
Economy basic
Economy plus
Economy plus select
Economy fully flex
Plus Business
They seem to be dropping the “Club” verbiage for shorthaul on boarding passes etc, presumably to allow for smoother access to fast track and lounges. However the changes to economy fares appears slightly more convoluted
Well that doesn’t make it any easier to work out how many TPs you’ll get!
No it doesn’t. And no fare bucket is shown.
What’s really interesting is that having selected economy seats window and aisle seats have no charge indicated. However middle seats start at the front at £22. Emergency exit seats £29, middle of plane £18 and rear £14. There are then numerous paragraphs of info explaining seat charges, seat allocation for passengers with under 12s etc.
I think the basic refers to HBO, with plus being with checked luggage. Fully flex would be a proper “Y” booking class with flexibility on cancellation/changes. No idea on what “plus select” is.
The booking classes are shown by expanding the “flight details” link

I understand the new website is being trialled. If you have access, you can see all 4 economy options as I can. Economy Plus select allows for free ticket changes and ticket refund for £25.
Unlike old website, when you expand flight details all you see is aircraft type, eg A320. There is no fare bucket.
Plus Select was BA’s way of coming away from the Covid flexibility era. It offers a level of flexibility between Plus and Flex with a more realistic price jump from Plus than Flex. Travel agents have been able to sell it for well over a year. BA.com is just catching up now to be able to sell its own product.

Aren’t the ones with ‘no charge’ the same price band as you have already paid for your seats? Weird the middle ones being more expensive! Maybe its an upsell thing to make people pay more to sit together!
