Interesting! Does it go to the respective airports?

Orlando Terminal C, Anna! And apparently a shuttle from Miami Central to MIA.
Good way to avoid one-way car rental fees.

Orlando station is at MCO. The stations at Fort Lauderdale and Miami are downtown. The Brightline tracks actually go underneath the runway and are adjacent to the terminal at FLL.
Thanks @Michael C personally I’m in favour of public transport but was talking to some locals there last week and they’re not too excited about it so far given that it takes 3.5 hours to cover a couple of hundred miles (not exactly rapid transit) and if there are a few of you renting a car would be cheaper. Useful I guess for giving options for flying to MCO and connecting with cruise lines in Miami.
By the way – used MCO Terminal C which was far more pleasant and much quieter than the A/B terminals. Bit of a walk from the gate (8-10 minutes) to baggage claim which is before immigration which helps to manage the the queue there as you can only go through once your bag has appeared. We did our Global Entry interviews on arrival there so we’re all set for our next US trip. Car rental still a bit hit and miss as they have temporary booths set up – our car was allocated at B Terminal but glad they didn’t make us go over there as they gave us a free pick instead – credit to Avis.
The Plaza Premium Lounge there was very good and way better that The Club at MCO though it was pretty crowded when we left around 5pm – it didn’t help that we were 2.5 hours late departing.

My exact experience last month! Expected chaos at Terminal C with the new system, but it worked really well.
And Plaza Premium excellent – really decent drinks, food, space and sockets!
I’m planning to use a Virgin voucher to fly UC MAN-MCO next year then need to get to TPA or MIA to connect to GCM, with a lot of luggage! Not been to the gulf coast so may do a few days over that side, but if not the train might be an option to get to MIA if we don’t want to hire a car for one day.

We just based ourselves in Dunedin (following your “Hamptons are the way to go” top tip!!), went to Honeymoon Island, John’s Pass, St Pete’s, etc., and loved it all.
I took the trains for a similar length journey, from Montreal to Quebec City, and back. While agreed its not rapid transit (and clearly a different train company) the experience was massively superior to hiring a car – it was more like a business class flight and would recommend it to anyone.
I did blog about it in more detail- anyone know if is it within forum rules to post a link?

How about MAN-LHR-Tampa with the voucher? Virgin tag the BA shuttle onto connecting flights to the US.
