Well, it’s a step forward in benefits to customers, saves the £15 transfer fee.
Mine is linked but total balance doesn’t look right yet

Yes this is positive news! Got an email today. Good to link up the kids accounts.

Not sure if it pools existing balances or only after you create the HH account. Some FAQ and T&C info in the links. Virgin Red points doesn’t go across automatically, flights & cc do. Some more reading I think before joining!

That’s because you now need the whole families points to afford a flight !!

😀 😀 HHA is nicely timed and they’ll spin it as a positive too! “Share your points with family and use them like never before”.

Virgin were already willing to switch points between accounts when booking flights or just sending them a message so not really a new benefit.

Bit late for me, I saw it today, but just spent £10 a few days ago, transferring points to do an online booking! Oh well! But the Premium Economy one-way fare for 2 to Capetown has gone from 104,000pts to 124,000pts in one day – good old dynamic pricing!

It was inconvenient getting it verified over the phone.

When you log in to your account, there is now an option for Household Accounts. Quick and easy to set up.

Is there any benefit in a husband and wife moving to household? We are both FC members with our own cc earning a voucher each every year.

I guess now Virgin is forgiven…

Having just set up a household account I can see my points as head of the household but hubby can see mine in the household and his on his own. It does NOT pool historic points. Only points earned after the household was set up will be available to the household. A pointless exercise for me today.

Another devaluation of Gold, along with the any seat option and voucher limits!

Didn’t read the T&Cs did you?

The non pooling of historic points earned before a HHA account was created has been a feature of the VS scheme right from when they first started them.

Next thing they will add is a random spinner that decides which of the members who have been pooling points gets that economy flight to jfk that costs 200k one way 😀

What I didn’t expect was that I see my own points and the household points – which are one and the same. OH sees his own points but the household points are my points. It seems to have done a half way house.

Evening, just wondered if anyone else has encountered problems trying to set up the household account? I successfully managed to add my daughter to my account but troubles with my husband’s invitation.

He receives the email, but when it goes to click on accept invitation after he tries to login it comes up with a white page with “ The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred”.

We have tried logging in on other devices/laptop but comes up with the same message. Also tried resetting the password but an error comes up 🤯 if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks so much.
