Forums Payment cards American Express No1 Clubrooms w/Amex pre-book vouchers

Is it still the case that pre-booking with the Amex platinum card (using the 4 vouchers a year) into the clubrooms means there’s no co-payment due?

Just want to check noting had changed. I booked a couple of months back for travel next week.

    Thanks

That’s correct. I was there about a month ago and had pre-booked via the PP app. I vaguely recall seeing something on the booking page about an additional £15 fee payable, but this was definitely not the case.

Just as a btw, no children under 12 allowed, I believe.

Yes correct, I recently used clubrooms bhx and as you stated previously the pre booking credit covered the supplement. Nothing further was payable by us on arrival.

    Thanks all.

“Kids” now well past 12yrs old but a useful reminder all the same.

I was at Clubrooms at LGW South (six Amex entries) a few weeks ago. Service was lovely. We had a bottle of champagne as it was a birthday celebration and a lovely Irish hostess gifted us a second bottle of champagne. <3

Just to confirm, all good on the no additional fee side. @ringingup I suspect your lounge angel was Maria. She was doing the early shift and liberally “upgrading” Prosecco drinkers to champagne “because it’s Christmas”, also swapping our thimble size glasses of Mimosas to something more appropriate.

We had a ground delay so were in the lounge an extra 90 mins – no problems, no questions asked, but as an interesting datapoint they did say there were 140 people in the virtual queue for the No 1 lounge. The main terminal was pretty bleak (this was 29th Dec) with shops stripped bare of sandwiches and passengers having taken to sitting on the stairs. Lots of cancelled flights as well so whilst our 4hr delay was annoying, it could have been a lot worse!
