Hello, nice to meet so many of you at the HfP party. Especially the multitude of friendly gays about – we made up a significant demographic.
Long story short – I’ve been collecting miles for a few years reading HfP religiously. I finally have my first ever CW booking coming up, using a 2-4-1 which is an Ex-DUB, to NYC (back to MAN). I felt like I really smashed it with this low tax booking, however my timing has obviously been terrible as I leave next week with a connection at the world’s best airport LHR.
The current nightmare situation aside – me being a lowly BA Bronze and trying to book my free seat reservations on the first DUB-LHR leg in CE for me and o/h there is only one seat available to book in a very small CE Europe cabin.
Therefore I can’t complete the seat reservation because I can select seats for us both.
What do I do in this situation? Is one of us likely to be downgraded at check-in? Should I ring up? Just hold my nerve?
All suggestions greatly received 🙂
This comes up a lot, I believe its likely because the system is blocking seats next to Golds, and these should become available to you a few days out.
