-
Hi All,
Saved above to my card sometime in April, it had a expiry date of 9th Jun 2023. Spent approx £55 at IHG Amsterdam in May and then £295 at IHG Lubljana by 9th June. It’s been three weeks and no credit applied so I chatted with Amex today and they refuse to pay since they claim spend had to be a single transaction. I clearly remember it being cumulative and even the HFP article says it is cumulative (https://www.headforpoints.com/2023/02/22/75-cashback-ihg-american-express-hotel-promotion/).My question is, does anyone have a screenshot of the offer and if they can share with me?
ThanksMy £75 was credited by the second hotel used the day after checking out. I’d speak to IHG not AE

What is IHG Amsterdam, do you mean IC? I suppose they were both on the list of eligible hotels. Yes the spend on the end date may have cut it too close.

IHG customer services won’t know anything about this as it was an Amex offer.
I spent between £301 and £303 on 4 cards, each at 3 or 4 different hotels, and they all credited within 2 or 3 days after the final spend.
Don’t think so – it would have to be Amex tracking the spend. Wonder if it is because the payment was done on the 9th June, so statement shows Transacton Date 9th but Process date of 10th June.
Thanks John. They didn’t mention date only it should be a single transaction. Hopefully someone has that screen shot. If not, c’est la vie.
IC Ljubljana wasn’t on the list, so no you’re not entitled to statement credit.
It’s definitely cumulative, I used 2 of these offers across 3 hotels a couple of months ago.
@meta – Thanks for the spot. Rather stupid of me – should have checked the obivious. Thanks again.
For future, Amex properties lists usually only include France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium Austria, Switzerland + sometimes Sweden and Finland.
