Would it be correct to assume that all the 777/787s used on this route now have the Club World Suite? I do not want to use Avios on the awful ying-yang seats.
It’s a reasonable assumption but remember that aircraft swaps do happen at any time.
It’s such a short flight time does it really make much difference?

It’s 8 hours in something Dr Devon considers “…awful…” so yes it does.

Yes, if it did not, I would sit at the back in Economy.
Whilst this route is the most CS likely, it’s not guaranteed. If it’s a real issue for you don’t fly BA until the conversions are finished.

Personal taste and route dependant of course.
For me flying CW/business, BA A380 upstairs in ying yang much better than new club suite on a 777. Like the A350 and new club suite but with a choice A380 and yang yang wins. Don’t like old VS UC seats but live with it as like the VS more relaxed service with a good crew. 747 upper deck with BA my most comfortable place.
Quite like LHR but detest MAN and in particular BA’s operation out of MAN, but have little choice but to use on most occasions flying BA.

Any idea when that will be?
Impossible, I bet BA don’t know. I don’t think they ever use the A380 to JFK, but that for example may never be converted, they may decide too expensive and dump them. I guess that will also be dependent on B777X arrivals.
The B777s are mostly done, the A350 and B787-10 came with CS. I think they’ve started on the older B787s too.
You’d be incredibly unlucky to not get CS to JFK, but it’s possible so be aware.
