I did the switch over the phone as I have an Eco 7 meter and wanted to have a flat rate, rather than the Eco 7 rate. They did this for me on the phone and were very helpful. I just need to contact them once my account is set up to ask them to apply the referral credit to my account. It was a very smooth process!

Oh and if you didn’t sign up using a referral link you can always email or call them after setting up your account, give them the link and they will apply the £50 credit.

Done using Rui’s code. (though at final submit after entering DD it crashed, Tried signing up again and it has already created the account. Balance of £0 (not sure if the £50 is supposed to credit straightaway.

Nothing showing in my Octopus account, so thanks for trying but I’m afraid you may not have been opted in by your friendly Octopus agent. From memory it pays out after you’ve made your first DD payment, but from previous use I vaguely recall getting an email notification in advance and it showing as pending, neither of which apply here.

You can ask for the referral to be applied even after the account is open. Much more so since it seems it is on them it not working the first time.

You can convert your Octo points into money off your bill. 8 points = 1p. Not going to set the world on fire. It also suggests you can donate them to Octo Assist but 1) couldn’t see how to do that and 2) does this simply reduce the “CSR” contribution Octopus makes overall?

CS I spoke to said he was having trouble with the code, but said if he had Octopus account number of referrer he could do it manually…

Is that OK with you ?
