Hi all. as per title…
Moving to a new place tomorrow, think Octopus are current supplier ( via Co-op energy ???? )
Appreciate if anyone has a spare referral code, thanks.

If you want to give it a try much appreciated
Cheers Andrew !
If i dont use it, will only because of issues with the Co-op energy angle..
My link here if anyone else wants a referral:
If anyone else wants one: https://share.octopus.energy/jolly-gaur-48
Many thanks!
I switched over to Octopus Energy after running the numbers and working out that their Flexible Tariff was slightly cheaper than my previous provider (Shell) due to the 4% discount they apply the energy price guarantee.
If you’d like to use my link to sign up and get £50 credit, here it is – https://share.octopus.energy/grape-woods-249
I did the switch over the phone as I have an Eco 7 meter and wanted to have a flat rate, rather than the Eco 7 rate. They did this for me on the phone and were very helpful. I just need to contact them once my account is set up to ask them to apply the referral credit to my account. It was a very smooth process!
Oh and if you didn’t sign up using a referral link you can always email or call them after setting up your account, give them the link and they will apply the £50 credit.
Christmas is coming and my goose is not thriving….

Don’t forget to put your Direct Debit at £1, and then top up with either a credit card (Amex is accepted), or even better (in my opinion) Zilch, as you get 2% back that way: https://customers.payzilch.com/signup?inviteCode=c2KwCI (I double dip with Chase 1% cashback)Also have a heat pump referral code with Octopus, to get £100 off: 2315542993
Just need to give this code to your sales advisor after you have the survey done.Done using Rui’s code. (though at final submit after entering DD it crashed, Tried signing up again and it has already created the account. Balance of £0 (not sure if the £50 is supposed to credit straightaway.
My code if anyone else switches:

And another code if anyone else wants one
Just to update. Signed up using AndrewT code ( cheers buddy )
The CS I spoke to didn’t seem too clued up ( unusual for octopus, as I’ve used them in past) so interested if @AndrewT got his referral cash ?
This is my referral link should anyone be looking to join octopus
@captaindave Will have a look at my account tomorrow when I’m at home and see what it says.
Nothing showing in my Octopus account, so thanks for trying but I’m afraid you may not have been opted in by your friendly Octopus agent. From memory it pays out after you’ve made your first DD payment, but from previous use I vaguely recall getting an email notification in advance and it showing as pending, neither of which apply here.
Thanks for update @AndrewT, haven’t had any paperwork come thru yet, but the d/d is set up on my current account. Once I have paid the first d/d I will chase it up and hopefully we both get weighed in.
You can ask for the referral to be applied even after the account is open. Much more so since it seems it is on them it not working the first time.
@AndrewT – chased this up today, the £50 will be added after the date of my first d/d ( 29/11) .
I’ve got 7k Octo points and no idea what to do with them – any suggestions? Is it really just 25% off places I never visit?

Referral spam below:
https://share.octopus.energy/sand-king-661You can convert your Octo points into money off your bill. 8 points = 1p. Not going to set the world on fire. It also suggests you can donate them to Octo Assist but 1) couldn’t see how to do that and 2) does this simply reduce the “CSR” contribution Octopus makes overall?
@AndrewT chased this again today as my 1st d/d now been taken.
CS I spoke to said he was having trouble with the code, but said if he had Octopus account number of referrer he could do it manually…Is that OK with you ?
Common sense suggests there are good reasons for not doing that, but I have a sneaky plan.
If you confirm you’re still around, I’ll pop in my a/c number, let you copy it, then I can edit it out.
