I have an old style BA 241 voucher which expires 31/05/23. No idea how to try and use it so thought I would ask for suggestions.
Could make time for a 4 or 5 day trip in May hols. As its an old voucher I need to fly from LHR. Wondered about a European city break, and fully expecting just to fly economy.
I think you’ll find plenty of CE seats to European cities, even at half term, which would make for a more pleasant experience than economy. It might help to have a play around on SeatSpy (if you have a subscription you can search for multiple destinations at once), however Prague, for example, is wide open for last week in May/first week in June.
Wondered about a European city break
Agree with NL’s suggestion of a CE city break. I used an old-style voucher for Club Europe to Athens (just to use it up before expiry) and it was a great trip.
Use of lounges before flights, good length of journey to enjoy the on-board F&B. Simple transfer into Athens and a great city to explore on foot for a few days. Highly recommend the place.Loads of interesting choices available for flying over the late May bank holiday (26-30 May) according to SeatSpy including, for example, Madrid, Zurich, Basel, Geneva, Sofia, Bucharest, Warsaw, Berlin, Algiers, Cairo, Stockholm, Oslo, Gothenburg. Most of those are on my must-visit-one-day list.
I had an old style voucher due to expire and I’m using it to take my son to Madrid in CE. It leaves from terminal 3 so we hope to fit in a few lounge visits before we take off.
I’ve used my last 2 for GIB and LIS – ditto re the lounges! Also to use an expiring Ambassador free night in LIS.
I’m using mine for Prague – a lower Avios band (1?) so very reasonable for a cheeky CE weekend and it’s out of T3 – haven’t been for nearly 20 years!
There are 3 bank holidays in May if it helps.
