Forums Other Destination advice Online e-Visa Indonesia? Or pay (by card??) on arrival?

Have people been doing the online version, or just sucking up the queue on arrival? Seems there’s been
a lot of online photo rejection by the software.

If we end up just queueing, can the visa on arrival be paid for in GBP/by card, or just rupiah? Thanks!

We did eVisas for Bali in May.

I sailed right through the application, and had my visa PDF by email within about 10 minutes of starting. For my girlfriend, it decided her recent passport photo didn’t match the photo in her passport. However, we just tried uploading a few different photos of her until it accepted one of them.

I can’t comment on how long it would take to get one on arrival, but it didn’t look like a long line. As we were getting off the plane, people seemed to be getting out USD cash for their visas.

I had no issue with doing 4x online and it does cut out one queue/ process on arrival. But you can pay cash or credit card. Don’t think they’d take GBP though- IDR USD or EUR

Hope voa online process went smoothly.. we gave up in the end in Feb, and did it on arrival.actually had to grab their original forms, complete them and hand them. The terminals in dps were on strike. Better luck for you. Have a great time…

Thanks, @SamG – we’re making a very DIY attempt with high-res photos of the passport photos today! But have SIN to go first, so no rush.

Great to know, @Polly , thanks! Still think back to your SIN escapades – hopefully they’ll allow us out of our hotel ;o)

It’s important to get the composition of the photo right. Check the “terms and condition”. Your head should be only 50% to 60% of the total photo height. I just took a picture on my phone and it was fine. The file size has to be less than 2Mb.
