So I have a cruise booked from Santiago and am using this to do a little South American Trip. I can book the outbound flights now with a 241, would then book the return when available.
Thinking of Buenos Aires out Santiago return, would you fly BA (777 club suite) or Iberia via Madrid (A350). There’s a difference of about 30,000 avios taxes are very similar. Just wondering how easy it is to combine bookings if I fly back on Iberia and out on BA and vice versa.

You don’t combine the bookings but this itinerary is perfectly possible with the 241. There are 2 threads on here which you would find helpful – the long one on booking the inbound leg of the 241 and one on using the 241 on Iberia – both contain lots of posts related to what you want to do.
Just call them, it’s no problem to do so long as there’s redemption availability for both.
Whether or not to use Iberia depends on your starting point. Mine’s MAN and the Iberia options were the worst possible (full day wait in MAD on both legs) so – BA it is. Iberia are hard to get uk/eu261 payments from, if you care.
