Open jaw – Club Europe – Amex 2 for 1 Voucher

We want to book an open jaw London-Prague and Berlin-London in Club Europe using an old 2 for 1 voucher which expires in September.

As I understand it, because the two flights are longer in distance than Prague-Berlin this should be OK, but I will need to call.

The old style pricing of each leg off peak is 8500 Avios plus £25. Will this price up over the phone as 17000 avios plus £100, or will they force me to reduce the cash element and up the avios?

I think on short haul with the old-style 241s you still get all the different pricing options so you should be able to choose. The other option would be to book the outbound online with the 241, then book the inbound at full rate (but sticking with the same avios/cash ratio), then ask for half the avios back. I did this for GIB outbound and AGP inbound with no issues.

Thanks – struggled to get through just after 8am (line kept dropping) but eventually managed. Guy didn’t think he would be able to do it without sending for a manual tax calc (!) but it went through at the expected Avios (17000) and Tax (£100)
