It’s probably very old news but, having just tried to part pay for a single flight back to Heathrow, it’s astonishing that:
BA app only gives a subset of Avios cash reductions that the website does.
If you reduce the number of passengers from two to one it gives even more cash reduction options online.
The cash reduction conversion per Avios values are inconsistent between the app and online platforms
The greater the cash amount the less conversion value you get per Avios.
Absolutely shambles
The greater the cash amount the less conversion value you get per Avios.
This has always been the case.
For example for a short haul club flight my first offer is usually £30 off for 3k avios so a penny per avios with the rate rapidly plummeting down to .5 of a penny.
Since that’s the only option I use and it’s been the same on the web and app I can’t say if there are different rates depending how you book.
