Long time lurker, first time poster.
I live in london and pay loads for rent. I pay it by bank transfer. I was wondering if there is a mile-earning way to do it.
Billhop is a bit too pricey for that purpose.
Any suggestions?Surely it depends on how your landlord expects the rent to be paid to them?
For example my landlord insists on direct debit and won’t take credit or debit cards.
Sometimes it’s just not possible to earn points
I’m renting a place through a Countrywide agent and their portal seems to take debit cards for rent payment, its working with Curve and MBNA Horizon but not Curve and Virgin. I doubt theres any way (much) cheaper than Billhop for bank transfers, although they apparently are negotiable on the fee for large transactions so if you feel like paying a year in advance you might get a better rate.
