    Hello all,

I am trying to book a flight on ba.com. They used to support Paypal as a payment method. But it seems it has been removed from the new website. Is there a way to use the old website again? From time to time, I am redirected back to their old website.

    Many thanks

Would be weird if they’d dropped it. From what I know from Virgin, PayPal payments go to the airline immediately whilst direct payments via credit card are usually restricted to some extent until the travel date.

IIRC PayPal payments are not covered by Section 75 (credit card protection). Maybe not so important for BA payments, but in the event of an issue…

I found out what happened. It turns out their new website have some teething issues with paying with PayPal. So, they stopped it temporarily. In terms of when they are going to bring it back, no clue at all.

Yes PayPal is not covered by the section 75. I have used PayPal with BA for a few past bookings, and have not walked into any problems at all (touch wood).

One good thing about paying with PayPal is their pay in 3 option. But again, the risk of walking into a problem and not covered by section 75 is not zero.

Why would you use PayPal – BA is one of the companies guaranteed to accept Amex?!

Doesn’t your credit record get hit each time you choose the pay in 3 option?
