Hi, i’ll be opening my first ltd co shortly, having previously always operated as sole trader.
I could open a CoT or Amex Business straight away but being a points collector I would like to hold until juicy SUB reappear.
My question is how do you pay for company expenses and renumerate the limited company when you just have personal credit cards, and without upsetting HMRC.
Many thanks in advance.
Settle the card bill yourself and then pay yourself “expenses” from the company account. I bank with Monzo and I just go in and pay myself back straight away transaction by transaction in the app. This then creates a record in Xero for me to code and tag the receipt to accordingly
