Hi – we have the Platinum business card and have used the travel service to make a hotel booking (and we got the £200 rebate very quickly)
Sadly we need to cancel the booking. It is refundable so that is fine……BUT we are unsure if we will get to use the £200 again ?
Does anybody have any experience on this. Amex are unsure !
thank you
Mark
Not sure why Amex is unsure. The rules say that if you cancel, you lose the credit.
Wht ISN’T clear if this is because you get to keep the £200 from before, or if the £200 is claimed back and you don’t get another shot.
Thanks Rob. To be fair to Amex, they (eventually) agreed to switch the booking to another date so we avoided the need to cancel.
This was actually my initial suggestion to them, but it took a bit of persistence as they suggested cancelling (for refund) and then booking again for the new date …but this is where we + they were worried about the credit.
