Platinum Dining international £100 credit – gift card options?

Question for the hivemind – has anyone successfully triggered the £100 Platinum dining credit for restaurants abroad by buying a giftcard/voucher? I’m specifically interested in restaurants in Madrid which I’m likely to visit in the future.

Given the upcoming reset of this benefit for H2 I’m keen to see if I can get value out of it. I’ve already triggered the offer before at a restaurant in Madrid but that was by being physically there.

Any input appreciated.
