Platinum upgrade and income?

Hi all

Does upgrading from the gold cc to platinum trigger require you to restate your income? I have a family member who would like to upgrade whilst the current offer is live but may be scuppered by an income check since the Amex change from taking the overall household income.

Grateful for any data points.
